Happy 10 Year Anniversary To This Blog, Right Here

Fireworks

I don’t usually post on a weekend, but when I do, it’s for a special occasion: this very blog, The Fairest Run of All, the one you’re reading right now, is ten years old TODAY. Happy anniversary!

Snow White is pleased it's my blog anniversary

I started writing it because I loved Disney parks, and I had recently discovered a love of running too. Ten years in, I love them both… more, somehow? Something about dedicating hours of your time and tens (hundreds?) of thousands of your words to a subject will do that to you, I guess. I regret nothing!

For my “I’d like to thank the Academy, et al” speech, check out my one thousandth post. And for some of my favorite posts through July of 2021, read my favorites post. For some of my favorite posts since then, try these:

– I’m not sure how much traction these posts get, but I think my Thoughts While Watching series is really fun

My How To Fall post is pretty useful for the runners

My ode to “Sister Suffragette”

If you’re a theme park commando, you too can reform

Have you tried a Hot Girl Run yet?

Remember when Tron Lightcycle Run took a million years to build?

If you’re looking to improve your runDisney race photos, I have some tips

I’m weirdly proud of my Hoop De Doo Musical Revue review post

– And finally, when I’m in WDW, I’m just happy to be there

If you’re really bored, my trip reports and race recaps could well eat up all the time you have left. Choose wisely.

The Fairest Run Of All is not now, nor has it ever been, a particularly big deal. It’s just a place I plop down my thoughts, this being one of the most reliable ways to exorcise my brain. Now and then I think, should I shut it down? Not with vitriol, mind you; simply as a thought experiment.

But then I think: nah. I like doing it. I love my small but mighty pool of readers, and I’ve made genuine friendships and even put out some writing I’m pretty proud of. Why stop here? Why stop ever? Get used to me, even! Because I love FROA and I love you. <3
